i mean people who drink in general and yes alcoholics but like people who are only stopping because of their job and not because they really want to.

I believe drinking is a bad thing. It is demoralizing and it shows immaturity.

Hey guys, this topic is fine just try to keep things nice. Its ok to debate and not agree but don't break the limits. That would be great, dont want to have a problem where i may have to delete it.(yes i have already deleted something, so this would be a warning) Thanks much, just remember keep it clean.

Re: what do you think of drinking
In moderation, I do not believe there is anything wrong with drinking at all (assuming, of course, you are legally able to). It's getting drunk that is the problem.
As Chesterton pointed out:
"The real case against drunkenness is not that it calls up the beast, but that it calls up the Devil. It does not call up the beast, and if it did it would not matter much, as a rule; the beast is a harmless and rather amiable creature, as anybody can see by watching cattle. There is nothing bestial about intoxication; and certainly there is nothing intoxicating or even particularly lively about beasts. Man is always something worse or something better than an animal; and a mere argument from animal perfection never touches him at all. Thus, in sex no animal is either chivalrous or obscene. And thus no animal ever invented anything so bad as drunkenness--or so good as drink.
Though, as he pointed out in Heretics
"The sound rule in the matter would appear to be like many other sound rules--a paradox. Drink because you are happy, but never because you are miserable. Never drink when you are wretched without it, or you will be like the grey-faced gin-drinker in the slum; but drink when you would be happy without it, and you will be like the laughing peasant of Italy. Never drink because you need it, for this is rational drinking, and the way to death and hell. But drink because you do not need it, for this is irrational drinking, and the ancient health of the world."

Re: what do you think of drinking
I believe that underage drinking is one of the dumbest things you can do.
In moderation, upon the legal age, though, by me, is just fine.
Just don't get drunk.
