Hey guys. I'm new to the forum. I got to know Gavan at a summer camp and he gave me the link recently. I just wanted to say that I got addicted to porn at 12 I've asked for prayer and accountability from my dad and others but as you know it's easy to pretend. I had a stretch of time where I was totally off of it but every now and then I slip up. I also have trouble with masturbation. I know it totally is not necessary but I find myself dealing with it quite a lot. I wanted to request prayer from you guys and thank you for being supportive.

hey i am zatch! My problem started when i was in like 7th grade. (for ne of you that know me, my entire badness started in 7th grade hahahaha) i surmounted it as a 10th grader and have only slipped about 5 times since and am currently graduated. i haven't slipped for a long time and in a way have triumphed over the problem. Unfortunately, as all those who have battled with porn addictions know, even after you have defeated it, it will come back. at the time when you are the weakest and most liable it will come. Therefore, my defenses never falter. and when they do, i remove my ability to look at porn. the body and flesh aren't things to be trusted. Good luck to all who suffer from this. My prayers to you all, and Gods strength be with you. Cuz you can only break it with that!

Yeah, when I was 13 I got hooked on porn....its been a struggle, but God has been helping me though it. I feel so much better with Him helping me.

I was introduced to pornography in the first grade.
My friend's father had porn, and it was disgusting.
I'm going to use words.
The vagina disgusts me. It literally made/makes me gag.
I would watch more suggestive things, and not think anything, just allowing my body to respond.
I've had problems since the seventh grade, and having a girlfriend who had a sexual drive like none other didn't help too much either...
But, with God, everything will be fine.
But, I have some facts for you guys:
The average male is introduced to pornography at the age of 11.
Many of them find themselves subject to it.
Male sexuality, or when the drive is the strongest is 17-19. We're screwed here.
Female sexuality peaks at around 40, so that is why they can go without it: many of my female friends haven't even done IT once.
Don't feel like a failed creation because you are addicted: but show the world what you're made of, in a sense.
