You're a Christian... so walk!
Colossians 2: 6-7
"6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving."
This are my Youth Group's key verses.
When we are saved, we develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We talk to Him through prayer, and He talks to us through many things (Mainly the Bible, but He speaks His power through the earth, etc.). This is often referred to as a personal "Walk". As we are taught through the Scriptures and through Church, as well as others-- anything that God speaks to us with-- we should establish our faith through it. An easy example would be the Ten Commandments, as we are saved, we should keep His commandments (Out of love). We should be like a tree, starting as a sapling, then growing to a great tree, hard to be knocked down (Fall into temptation). But when we make our walk, we shouldn't take God for granted, we need to give him the thanks, because only through grace and love are we saved. Honestly, how can we be grateful? Observe your blessings-- your salvation come to mind-- and PRAY PRAY PRAY. Did I mention to pray? Praying is how you develop your relationship with God. You can even talk to Him about your day, He will listen. There's a song that I LOVE from Church. It goes something like this, "Count your blessings, count them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done, count your blessings, you will be surprised" and indeed you will be surprised!
Just like your physical body will wear down and you will become lazy if you don't exercise, your Spiritual walk with God will become lazy, and inadequate!
