This verse is amazing!
The theif comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy...
The theif is our enemy (the devil, the world, or the flesh depending on the circumstance) and his mission is to make our life miserable. But this is conditional. The enemy will only attack if we are moving toward God.
...but I have come so that they have life and have it more abundantly.
God gave us an escape rope from these times of struggle. Just remember that God is in control. He has made it to where you will have an abundant life. That does not mean that you are going to be a rich, sucessful business man. An Abundant life may be intangible things, such as happiness and faith, rather than tangible things, such as money.
*This verse has a big but and and a bunch of pretty commas (This is for Coach)*
